Awaken and express virtues of soul…

We know that the aim of all human beings is to perfect ourselves; to become better people. Therefore, constantly endeavor to awaken and express the virtues of the soul that animates you. In doing so, you will contribute to your own evolution while serving the cause of humanity.” Rosicrucian Manuscript

Chillier yet Lovely Weekend

Delicious πŸ˜‹ homemade chicken corn soup, tomatoes with seasoned mozzarella, crackers and cheese by Chef/host Glenn and Whoopie pies with double chocolate and salted caramel ice cream for desserts on Saturday with host Glenn, Cousin Val, Barry and Tricia! Yummy food with fun chatting, too. Thank you Glenn-and for the beauty of your gardens, too! Then off to community theatre in Ephrata for “Picnic”, an old, yet powerfully relatable, Pulitzer Prize-winning production. The play was relatable to me as the experienced expression of young love, as the experienced expression of a single mom, and also to the single and older woman I am today. I highly recommend it to all, as the male roles equally held a connection to those of the male gender with whom I had interacted over the years. The times were different, yet the basic tendencies of humans don’t change as much. Try it, you’ll like it!

Sunday morning to Metaphysical Chapel for a meaningful worship service and wonderful messages. The homily led us to stay in touch with departed loved ones on a daily basis, as their love still surrounds us. Uplifting, indeed! Hoping that your lives are being uplifted, too-to which I offer a short video of fish swimming about at “That Fish Place” in Lancaster! https://videos.files.wordpress.com/6x5k0K8d/img_2305.mov

See the beauty!

This Labor Day morning I am reminded of the message, See the beauty! The message came as I drove through British Columbia, Canada last year. I was on a road which I really hadn’t planned on, but recommended by a motorcyclist. A beautiful lake, followed by a stunning glacier, and yet another gorgeous glacier. This time when I got out of the car to walk a short path, I was overcome with tears of joy at the beauty of its sight, sound, smell, power, and glorious gentle strength which were accompanied by the words, See The Beauty! In that moment, as I took in the beauty, I realized that part of my life’s mission is to always see the beauty in and through all. With my focus on the beauty in and through ALL, it is impossible for me to be upset, as I honor the process that is life. Oh yes, there are challenges to continually Seeing the Beauty, like when being tailgated in an area where there were hairpin turns and no pull offs. How to see the beauty in the tailgater behind me? Might he/she be in such a hurry because of rushing to assist someone in a difficult situation? Sending love to others is my response now to tailgaters and in other situations; but, prior to this I used to be agitated with drivers displaying this behavior. Each day brings its opportunities to choose to focus on seeing the beauty or not. I choose to see the beauty with gladness in knowing the choice is mine.

Happy Birthday to Us! πŸŽΌπŸŽΆπŸŽ‚πŸŽπŸŽˆπŸŽ‰πŸ’

Those reading my posts know I’m on the road most of the time exploring. So, I’m not usually around family and friends on their actual birthdays. My way of celebrating is to celebrate all of our birthdays at the same time when I visit! A birthday cake with a candle for each person to wish upon and blow out after the singing of Happy Birthday to Us. My family prefers ice cream cakes, so no need for a separate cake plus ice cream. Certainly there are balloons, too, and lots of silliness. At my daughter’s we also got a Minion PiΓ±ata and filled it with goodies. The piΓ±ata was designed with many strings to pull and only one string opened up the treats to fall down! Then on to silly string outside this time; but, the last time we turned the music up and had a dance party! Just have fun!

Family fun

Wonderful and busy time with my daughter’s family in Raleigh NC- Grandson’s first day of 1st grade, soccer practice and game, granddaughter’s meeting her new teacher, both children to gymnastics, playing with my adorable superheroes,

swimming, hairdo’s with daughter, sharing and laughter with Margaret-caregiver extraordinaire, and fun, fun, fun! And a visit with friends Peter & Joan Kean, too! Life is so good! Grateful, I am!

Share with your grown children when they have children

It occurred to me to share this with my son and daughter after they had children, “You brought, and continue to bring me, the same amazing joy that your children bring you!” The bond of love that touches places in a parent’s heart he/she never even knew existed continues to grow. One of the greatest joys is to know that the seed of unconditional love expressed from parent to child grows deep roots, enabling the grown child to parent with love. I am grateful to witness this phenomenon. ❀️

Hot Springs, MT

Just enjoying the visit with Toni, and, of course, the Hot Springs which were very hot yesterday! The doe and fawn make regular appearances in Toni’s yard. We saw a wildcat just once in Toni’s yard and he hasn’t come back yet. A young grasshopper caught my attention, also. And, a magpie left me a feather. At the library with Wi-Fi, so will post this today! I’m so excited to get a copy of Rural New Yorker on Interlibrary loan from 12/21/1957 in which Toni is on the cover! Library says it may take up to a week. Went to National Bison Range to see bison, elk, deer, and momma bear with 3 cubs, all with stunning background views, especially of Glacial Lake Missoula. One of the young workers at the Visitors Center graduated from Washingtonville High School, mine and my children’s Alma Mater-crazy! When the rest room was out of toilet paper, I joked with the Amish gals waiting that it would be a drip-dry experience! And while walking Bitterroot trail with expansive views, amazingly my phone rang! My son called to FaceTime with cutie-pie, granddaughter Cozy who’s now a little more than four months young. I’ve driven to Missoula twice and enjoy driving through Flathead Reservation. Earlier, Toni and I enjoyed the Hot Springs Museum. Life is good and I am thankful each day for the gift of life!

Hot Springs, Montana (MT)

Having a grand time with Toni in Hot Springs, MT! Here she is next to her pretty “volunteer” flowers and then with her homemade Dolly Parton wig she used when performing at Sr Citizen Center. She’ll be 94 on 9/27 and is quite a remarkable woman! She’s an inspiration in so many ways! Blessings upon her always!

06042017 to 06072018 Utah to Idaho in I15 and Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville

Just when I was thinking, “wouldn’t it be nice if there was a hot spring” and within minutes, there was the sign for Crystal Hot Springs! Thank you Universe and beings of light! So, I spent from 3-7pm in and out of the world’s richest mineral content water! It has both hot and cold springs! Met a nice couple parked in a perfect camper that he spent a month preparing. It was awesome! We agreed that life is good, very good! Today in Idaho whose million residents have 53 million acres of land to enjoy-not expecting to spend extra time sitting in traffic. Ok, been patiently waiting for 20 minutes for pix to load-now must not be the time have a blessed day full of pleasant surprises! Play the “wouldn’t it be nice if” game and let me know what happens.
