02092018 to 02122018- celebrating

Belated Celebrating of son’s birthday with ice cream cake and ASU basketball game+. great seats at game and what a production with smoke, fire, Curtain of Distraction, band, cheerleaders, and sounds reverberating through me. There was also a presentation of many players from yesteryear, one of whom played in 1951. Fun times with gratitude for life and living! And stopped for a bite to eat at Hopdoddy’s-yummy!

01242018 to 02022018 Tecopa Hot Springs, CA

No cell service where I am. Had internet when I first came but then it disappeared until today. So I hope everyone enjoyed the Lunar Eclipse!, as I did! It’s warming up-40s at night and 60s-70s in day. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets-daily soaks in hot springs are a good break from typing notes into book form. Nice people, hot lunches for seniors like me for free or a donation Mondays to Fridays and crock pot on weekends, with purchases from Pahrump, NV. God bless your souls! And, a very Happy Birthday to my son today-we’ll celebrate next Friday! Love, joy and peace to all!

01242018 Month in Tecopa CA

New digs for the next month! No cell service, but can FaceTime! I can’t quite wrap my head around that; but, I guess it’s no different than my android in Alaska-can’t make or receive a call but can use phone for Wi-Fi! The hot springs are 😎 awesome, no sulphur odor, and ooolala my skin was smoother than ever within 5 minutes of soaking! Separate pools for males and females since no clothing, including swimsuits, are allowed-Birthday suit only. It was a chilly 36 degrees this morning, but the bath houses are open 24-7, so I could have gotten in and warmed up. But, I chose to head into Pahrump, Nevada and take care of getting some gas and supplies. Some pix of the drive are below. Of course, on the way back, I had to stop and look at some stones, which are amazing. Bought a crockpot and my dinner should be ready whenever I want it. No potable water here, though; so bought a 24-pack of spring water. Since there’s little ambient light, the stars are easy to see. January 31 is the eclipse, so I’ll be here for that. I listened to Sonia Ricotti’s webinar on bouncing back, wherein she suggests that our resistance to the event (thinking that this event shouldn’t be happening) means we’re looking at a closed door. Accepting the circumstance as a fact and surrendering to what is enables one to see open doors by shifting one’s thinking-very interesting. And, she qualified manifesting as, “We don’t manifest what we want, we manifest what we believe.” So, I ask you, what are you believing for?

o head to the hot spring pool!

If anyone wants to join me, rent is paid for 2 occupants and I'm only 1. It is very little for more occupants, up to four I think; just let me know on FB, ok? I won't be here from 2/9 to 2/12, though.

01232018 Tecopa Hot Springs, CA

Arrived yesterday and will stay a month, with a break to see my son and daughter-in-law in February. Tecopa is 84 miles from Las Vegas. Last night was my first soak in the Springs, and my skin was soft within the first five minutes-aaah, so good! No clothing allowed in the pools which are separated by gender. A bit chilly this morning. There is no cell service or messaging available, but spotty Wi-Fi is available-so email me. I will work on my video book. Let’s hope the words and pictures find me in this writing adventure! Keep seeing the beauty… Lake Mead NV picture below

01222018 PA to AZ

Took 6 Days to get from PA to AZ, taking my time and enjoying the views. Thought I was heading away from cold and snow, but storm Jaxson on Saturday showed its power! The blinding, blowing snow did allow me to see the Days Inn sign just in time to get off the exit and check in-safe and sound. I did get my boots, hat, and gloves back on to clear the snow off my car Sunday morning which was quite a change from the 70-degree Amarillo TX weather-all good! On the way out I stopped at the Meramec Cavern-wonderful- and car museum.

Let’s all see the beauty in everything and everyone

See the beauty in all

Driving through British Columbia, Canada, in August 2017, the message was clear, “See the beauty”. I was driving and stopping frequently to take in the beauty of Mother Earth. At each stop I found greater beauty, being awed to tears and challenged to see the beauty in all. Certainly Mother Earth, the heavens, and the plant & animal kingdoms provide a plethora of beauty, the view of which is changing every nanosecond. But, can I continue that process to see the beauty in each human, believing each is created beautifully and wonderfully? That’s the challenge.

Amidst a world of fashion runways, beauty magazines, and cosmetics/beauty advertising, can I truly let go of all that social conditioning? For most of the last two years, I’ve not used makeup, jewelry, hair color or nail polish and the quality of my life seemed unaffected by it. Now, can I extend to others their right to judge others and me, but not place judgment on them for doing so? And, can I see the beauty in them regardless of their judgments? That’s part of my quest-staying true to my authentic self while seeing the beauty in others and myself. Hoping all those reading this see the beauty in themselves and start to open their eyes and hearts to the beauty in all that is.

Thought and reactions

“It is a metaphysical fact that for each minute of time we spend in thoughts of unfavorable impressions, unkind criticism, or hate toward any person, there will be hours of physical and mental suffering as a reaction. The first thing to do, then, in considering the relief of any mental or physical condition is to analyze your mental self over a period of time preceding the condition and discover what thoughts, attitudes, and conditions of mind you have held or expressed, and immediately eliminate this attitude by reversing your opinions, thoughts, and holding thoughts of love and kindness instead. In other words, the poison from the mind that has been eating at the very heart of every cell in your body must be eliminated before any treatment can be given to relieve the ultimate and outer manifestations. Any other process is merely treating the outer manifestations as though giving them a drug to nullify the senses without removing the actual cause.” H. Spencer Lewis
