Awaken and express virtues of soul…

We know that the aim of all human beings is to perfect ourselves; to become better people. Therefore, constantly endeavor to awaken and express the virtues of the soul that animates you. In doing so, you will contribute to your own evolution while serving the cause of humanity.” Rosicrucian Manuscript

Chillier yet Lovely Weekend

Delicious 😋 homemade chicken corn soup, tomatoes with seasoned mozzarella, crackers and cheese by Chef/host Glenn and Whoopie pies with double chocolate and salted caramel ice cream for desserts on Saturday with host Glenn, Cousin Val, Barry and Tricia! Yummy food with fun chatting, too. Thank you Glenn-and for the beauty of your gardens, too! Then off to community theatre in Ephrata for “Picnic”, an old, yet powerfully relatable, Pulitzer Prize-winning production. The play was relatable to me as the experienced expression of young love, as the experienced expression of a single mom, and also to the single and older woman I am today. I highly recommend it to all, as the male roles equally held a connection to those of the male gender with whom I had interacted over the years. The times were different, yet the basic tendencies of humans don’t change as much. Try it, you’ll like it!

Sunday morning to Metaphysical Chapel for a meaningful worship service and wonderful messages. The homily led us to stay in touch with departed loved ones on a daily basis, as their love still surrounds us. Uplifting, indeed! Hoping that your lives are being uplifted, too-to which I offer a short video of fish swimming about at “That Fish Place” in Lancaster! https://videos.files.wordpress.com/6x5k0K8d/img_2305.mov

See the beauty!

This Labor Day morning I am reminded of the message, See the beauty! The message came as I drove through British Columbia, Canada last year. I was on a road which I really hadn’t planned on, but recommended by a motorcyclist. A beautiful lake, followed by a stunning glacier, and yet another gorgeous glacier. This time when I got out of the car to walk a short path, I was overcome with tears of joy at the beauty of its sight, sound, smell, power, and glorious gentle strength which were accompanied by the words, See The Beauty! In that moment, as I took in the beauty, I realized that part of my life’s mission is to always see the beauty in and through all. With my focus on the beauty in and through ALL, it is impossible for me to be upset, as I honor the process that is life. Oh yes, there are challenges to continually Seeing the Beauty, like when being tailgated in an area where there were hairpin turns and no pull offs. How to see the beauty in the tailgater behind me? Might he/she be in such a hurry because of rushing to assist someone in a difficult situation? Sending love to others is my response now to tailgaters and in other situations; but, prior to this I used to be agitated with drivers displaying this behavior. Each day brings its opportunities to choose to focus on seeing the beauty or not. I choose to see the beauty with gladness in knowing the choice is mine.
