04012018 to 04182018 AZ exploring

Exploring AZ every day but Sunday when I visit with my new granddaughter which delights me so much. Am also enjoying new friendships with Elizabeth and her daughter Liberty, and Wendy. But, I’ve been missing soaking in hot springs. Yesterday another miracle for me as I was drawn to purchase my pass for the San Carlos Apache Tribe Wildlife and Recreation area-and they have a warm springs! Who knew? It wasn’t in the book at library of all AZ hot/warm springs! I had gone to old Scottsdale to rock shop and browse then ending up at their awesome library! A live gray fox greeted me as I drove into San Carlos and we locked eyes in respect for one another. Yesterday spent most of the day in the all natural warm springs whilst inspecting the rocks in the spring’s bottom-what a treat-thanks be! On Tuesday, met Wendy for coffee and chat which ended up being 4+ hours of laughter and sharing-bless you Wendy. I also stopped at Buckhorn Baths which is now owned by a Family Trust and not operational. Last week, explored Sedona, going to 4 energy vortices at Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Airport Mesa, and spending one overnight in Natl Forest section of Boynton Canyon. I am energized! Also, did primitive camping on Bureau of Land Management lands in Mayer with Elizabeth and Liberty. A grand time, indeed. I also rock picked on Salt Mine Rd and at Clear Creek Day Use Area and camped at Valley Verde Thousand Trails Park. For a $500 annual membership fee, one can stay for free one week, leave a week, then repeat the process at numerous parks. I think it’s like a time share for RVers/tent campers with great amenities of pools, hot tubs, Wi-Fi, tennis, etc. Found a scenic view in Red Rocks State Park which provided shade for me and appreciated the view before me, snapping pictures, too.

The first week of April, went to Alamo Lake State Park and got more exposure to Burros with their mating sounds. Then to Dead Horse Ranch State Park that miraculously had one tent campsite available for me! The lagoons at Dead Horse are cool; one fellow was happy to have caught 3 fish, the first of his in a long time. Walked with Elizabeth to the top of mountain in Mayer that has an energy vortex, and some snacks afterwards at Creekside Lodge. Life is grand!

P. S. I do want to experience the Northern Lights! Tried in AK, but not! Native Indian in AK told me you can move your hand in the air and see the reaction in the Northern Lights! It’s on my list!
