See the beauty in all

Driving through British Columbia, Canada, in August 2017, the message was clear, “See the beauty”. I was driving and stopping frequently to take in the beauty of Mother Earth. At each stop I found greater beauty, being awed to tears and challenged to see the beauty in all. Certainly Mother Earth, the heavens, and the plant & animal kingdoms provide a plethora of beauty, the view of which is changing every nanosecond. But, can I continue that process to see the beauty in each human, believing each is created beautifully and wonderfully? That’s the challenge.

Amidst a world of fashion runways, beauty magazines, and cosmetics/beauty advertising, can I truly let go of all that social conditioning? For most of the last two years, I’ve not used makeup, jewelry, hair color or nail polish and the quality of my life seemed unaffected by it. Now, can I extend to others their right to judge others and me, but not place judgment on them for doing so? And, can I see the beauty in them regardless of their judgments? That’s part of my quest-staying true to my authentic self while seeing the beauty in others and myself. Hoping all those reading this see the beauty in themselves and start to open their eyes and hearts to the beauty in all that is.
